    Diely Mori Tounkara a fait ses classes auprès de son frère, le célèbre guitariste Djelimady Tounkara, soliste du Super Rail Band de Bamako, et de Toumany Kouyaté, un des grands de la kora. Il a participé à de nombreuses formations à Montréal comme Taafé Fanga et Kabawuko.
